Asphalt film oven is a testing equipment used to simulate the aging condition of asphalt during use. Asphalt aging is a key research and quality control factor in fields such as road engineering and asphalt production. This device can accelerate the aging process of asphalt in a laboratory environment by controlling temperature, air flow, and other conditions, allowing researchers and quality inspectors to observe the changes in asphalt performance after aging in a relatively short period of time, thereby providing important basis for asphalt quality assessment, road design service life prediction, and so on.

Brief introduction:
The Rolling Thin Film Oven (RTFO) test is used to measure the effect of heat and air on a moving film of semi-solid asphalt binder. The results of this treatment are determined from measurements of the binder properties before and after the test.

Basic structure:
The instrument consists of an oven working room, a turntable rotating mechanism, and an electrical control part. Four sample containers can be placed on the turntable at the same time. The indoor temperature is automatically controlled by a digital display temperature controller.

Principle

The asphalt film oven mainly works based on the principles of hot air circulation and asphalt film exposure. It heats the air inside the box to a specified temperature through a heating device, while using a fan to circulate the hot air inside the box. Make the asphalt into a thin film and place it on a rotating frame inside the oven. Hot air continuously brushes over the surface of the asphalt film during the circulation process. Under the action of high temperature and air, the light components in asphalt evaporate, and asphalt undergoes chemical reactions such as oxidation, gradually changing its chemical composition and physical properties, thus simulating the aging phenomenon of asphalt in actual road use environments due to long-term exposure to sunlight, high temperature weather, and contact with air.

Features

1. It is equipped with a high-precision temperature sensor, and the temperature of the studio is controlled by a temperature controller. It adopts "fuzzy PID" control, which has smaller temperature overshoot, faster stabilization time, and more better temperature control accuracy compared with the traditional PID control mode.
2. The exterior of the main body is sprayed with plastic, and the interior of the studio is made of stainless steel, which is beautiful and generous.
3. The heating device is flat electric heating wire, no open flame, uniform distribution, fully controlled heating element ensures .High-speed response, low heat conduction and radiation losses. At the same time, through the convection of the upper and lower air ducts, the heating is even.
4. The left side of the oven is the electrical control part, and the variable speed motor ensures that the rotation speed of the turntable is 5.5±1r/min.
5. The work room is illuminated for outdoor observation.
6.With a timing device, the heating is cut off at the end of the test time to ensure that the sample is not excessively aged.
