Description

VLF cable testing (very low frequency) is a technology used to test medium and high voltage (MV and HV) cables. The advantage of the VLF system is that it is small and lightweight, making it very useful in field testing. Compared with traditional DC withstand voltage testing for cable testing, DC testing cannot effectively test cross-linked polyethylene cables. DC testing also shortens the life of the cross-linked polyethylene insulation. Ultra-low frequency high voltage generators do not suffer from these shortcomings

Features
