High-voltage test transformers (dry type, oil-immersed type, gas-filled type) are suitable for power systems, industrial and mining enterprises, transportation, scientific research units, etc. They can conduct insulation strength tests on various high-voltage electrical equipment, electrical components, and insulating materials under power frequency or DC high voltage to find insulation defects of the test products and measure their ability to withstand overvoltage. They include a variety of product types and specifications: AC, AC/DC, AC cascade, AC/DC cascade; if there are special specifications, they can also be designed and produced according to the parameters and requirements provided by the user to meet the needs of the user.

Oil Type: The voltage 0-220V/380V is fed into the primary winding of the test transformer by means of an automatic voltage regulator. According to the principle of electromagnetic induction, according to the ratio of the number of turns of the secondary (high-voltage) winding to the primary winding, the industrial frequency high voltage of the secondary (high-voltage) winding is obtained.
Advantages: low cost and cheap, easy maintenance later.
Disadvantages: the oil is larger and heavier.
Gas-filled Type: SF6 gas has good insulation and arc extinguishing performance. In order to achieve the purpose of insulation, a large amount of SF6 gas was added to the test transformer. According to the insulation and arc extinguishing properties of SF6 gas itself, this type of test transformer has no possibility of reporting discharge even under high voltage conditions, which ensures the accuracy of the test results. However, if the improper use of SF6 gas in the test transformer causes a large amount of volatilization, it will be very troublesome to generate gas in the test transformer, and it generally needs to be sent back to the original manufacturer for processing.
Dry Type: Its basic working principle is: when the input voltage is 200V, when the input voltage is changed according to the needs using the principle of electromagnetic induction, the output high voltage can be continuously adjusted to the rated value by zero voltage. Because it is integrally formed, it cannot be repaired if the internal is damaged , and it is relatively heavy and difficult to move.
