Product Description

Significance and Use:
1. The dropping point of a grease is the temperature at which it passes from a semi-solid to a liquid state. The dropping point test determines the cohesiveness of the oil and thickener of a grease, or when the thickener breaks down. Dropping point tests are used for quality control to verify that the soap structure has been formed correctly and will withstand high temperatures.
2. Does not apply for PFPE/PTFE thickened greases
 

Introduction:
1. The Automatic Wide Temperature Range Dropping Point Tester is designed and made according to the requirements of the People's Republic of China Standard GB/T 3498 Petroleum products--Determination of dropping point of lubricating greases(wide temperature range).
2. The instrument is also in accordance with ASTM D2265 Standard Test Method for Dropping Point of Lubricating Grease Over Wide Temperature Range.
3. The machine is applicable to the automatic determination of lubricating grease dropping point when its first drop reaches the bottom of the test tube.
