The four-ball tester can be used to determine the anti-wear performance of lubricating oil and evaluate the load-bearing capacity of lubricants, including constant wear, maximum non-seizure load(PB), welding load(PD), comprehensive wear value ZMZ, friction coefficient and friction curve, etc.

 

Product Description

The Automatic Four Ball Lubricant Tester is a floor standing instrument designed to determine the friction properties of extreme pressure oils and greases. It has been applied in tribology research laboratories and in the routine quality control of finished lubrication products. The testing machine is designed and manufactured strictly according to the following ASTM standards:

1. ASTM D2596-15 "Standard Test Method for Measurement of Extreme-Pressure Properties of Lubricating Grease (Four-Ball Method)".
2. ASTM D2783-03(2014) "Standard Test Method for Measurement of Extreme-Pressure Properties of Lubricating Fluids (Four-Ball Method)".

7.The spindle speed system is more accurate, and the speed error can be controlled within ±5r/min.

8.The stopping torque can be set and displayed in real time during the extreme pressure test, which is used to assist the judgment of the PD value or for safety protection.

9.The real-time sample temperature is displayed on the LCD screen with a temperature control resolution of 0.1°C.

10.The test ball bowl automatically heats the oil sample, and when the sample reaches the set temperature, the motor is automatically started. After the test, the temperature control is automatically stopped and the motor is automatically turned off.
