Product Description

ASTM E162 is one of the most widely used methods for testing flame propagation performance in the United States. The test heat source uses radiant panel heating and gas torch ignition. This method is widely used to test the flame propagation performance of materials. This method is also cited by the American rail train flame retardant standard NFPA 130 to evaluate the flame propagation performance of train interior panels, ceilings, sound insulation materials, windows, door lintels, seat side panels and other components.
The GOLD radiant panel flame spread tester is designed and developed according to ASTM E162 and ASTM D 3675 related standards; the equipment implements the test method for evaluating the surface combustion performance of materials using radiant heat sources.
During the test, the specimen is exposed to the radiant panel heat source and the medium-sized blowtorch for up to 15 minutes. After the specimen is ignited, the time when the flame front reaches the reference mark is recorded. During the test, the heat released by the smoke, the smoke generation and the burning droplets are also recorded.

Features

• The frame structure is made of stainless steel; beautiful and corrosion-resistant;
• The reflector is made of cast iron frame. The surface of the reflector is made of porous fireproof material with a size of 305X457mm. The working temperature is 815 ºC.

• The calibrated burner has 1.8mm holes in 16 different angles and needs to be along the center line.
• To control the surface temperature of the reflector, the blackbody temperature of 180 ° C ~ 230 ° C needs to be set to an accuracy of ± 5 ° C. It is suitable for observing the surface temperature of a reflector with a surface radius of 250MM outside 2M.
• An insulated thermocouple is attached to measure the temperature of the stack.
• Imported heat flow meter (round foil type) to test the heat radiation condition of the radiation plate (0 ~ 100kW / m2).
