Simulated Service Corrosion Tester for Engine Coolants ASTM 2570
In a closed system consisting of a reservoir, a water pump, a radiator and a rubber tube, the sample was circulated for 1064 hours at 88°C and a certain flow rate. The weight loss of the sheet and the visual inspection of the state surface of the inner surface of each component are determined, and the performance change of the sample is determined by analyzing the sample taken from the system periodically during the test cycle.
The ASTM D2570 standard is applicable for determining the surface resistance of solid electrical insulation materials, including plastics, rubber, coatings, insulation paper, and other materials. These materials are commonly used in electrical equipment, electronic components, wires and cables, and their surface resistance has a significant impact on the electrical performance and safety of the equipment.
By applying a certain DC voltage on the surface of the tested material, the current flowing through the material surface at this voltage is measured, and the surface resistance of the material is calculated according to Ohm's law. A tester usually consists of a DC power supply, measuring electrodes, protective electrodes, and measuring circuits. The measuring electrode is used to apply voltage and measure current, while the protective electrode is used to eliminate edge effects and stray currents to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.

The Simulated Service Corrosion Tester consists of operation and display, heating control, speed control, pressure control, flow control system and supporting components.
Motor: used for coolant circulation drive, linked with water pump.
Water pump: provide the circulating flow required by the standard.
Condenser: reduce the test pressure and simulate the working conditions of automobiles.
Metal test piece: simulate metal corrosion conditions.
Reservoir: Provide catalytic effect.
Glass tube: observe the circulation state of the sample.
