Product Description

Introduction:
Thermal protection (radiation) performance tester is designed and manufactured according to the standard requirements of ISO6942 and EN366. The device fully complies with the standard's testing requirements and is recognized by European and American customers; the device has a user-friendly, intuitive, Windows-based application that provides complete thermal control, fault detection and data logging functions. RPP system configuration and burn prediction calculations are also included in ThermDAC. User-defined tests allow operators to define non-standard test conditions and custom tolerance standards. Multiple chart displays can be viewed, with zoom capabilities to see specific conditions in detail. Real-time statistics capabilities can be applied to test data during any user-selected time range. This device is used to evaluate the performance of heat- and fire-resistant protective clothing in response to thermal motion when exposed to short-duration flames. Heat with a certain heat density (80KW/m²±5%) is applied to the lower side of the sample woven from cloth and other materials constituting the protective clothing. The heat transmission rate that increases with time (time: seconds, temperature rise: °C) is measured by a calorimeter installed on the upper side of the sample to evaluate the thermal insulation performance of the material.

12. According to the ISO 6942-2002 (EN366) standard, the protective properties of materials can be tested according to two test methods.
13. The first method (Method A) is to subject the sample to a certain amount of thermal radiation, and record the appearance changes in order to reproduce the harsh conditions in which the material is exposed.
14. The second method (Method B) is to place the calorimeter on the back of the sample, conduct heat from the back of the sample, and record the temperature change trend with time to determine the level of thermal radiation transfer.
