What is Tan Delta?
Tan Delta (TD), also called dissipation factor or power factor is an excellent classification test that provides a sign as to the caliber of the dielectric insulation found in power apparatuses. The GDGY series of Tan Delta test instruments are designed to provide the tests engineer with a versatile high voltage diagnostic system suited to testing MV cables such as XLPE, EPR, PE and PILC. Other electrical equipment such as capacitors, transformers and large spinning machines can be diagnosed.
Features:
♦ The automation level of the GDGY Dielectric Oil Dissipation Factor Tester is high. One test can automatically complete the heating of the oil cup, the measurement of dielectric loss, and the electrical resistivity.
♦ It has a full protection mechanism with protection and reminder features, including functions for when the lid is opened and a high pressure is broken, when the high and low voltage electrodes of the oil cup are shorted, when the heater burns out without any oil, and when the temperature sensor is disconnected from the system.
♦ The reference capacitor is of the SF6 gas three three-electrode type, which ensures high precision even when the tester is used for extended periods of time since dielectric loss and capacitance are unaffected by environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and others.
♦ 100 groups of test data are automatically stored.
