ASTM D92 Automatic Cleveland Open Cup Flash Point Tester
Automatic Cleveland Open Cup Flash Point Tester is designed and made as per GB/T3536-2008 Petroleum Products - Determination of Flash and Fire Points - Cleveland open cup method and ASTM D 92 Standard Test Method for Flash and Fire Points by Cleveland Open Cup Tester. It is applicable to all petroleum products with flash points above 79ºC and below 400ºC except fuel oils.
Based on the Cleveland Open Cup method (ASTM D92, ISO 2592, etc.), testing is completed through a fully automated process:
Temperature control: The sample is placed in a standard open cup (Cleveland Cup) and heated at a programmed rate.
Ignition and detection: Periodically automatically ignite the test flame, scan the liquid level vapor for flashing, and determine the flash point through photoelectric sensors or flame ion detection technology.
Endpoint determination: Record the temperature immediately upon detecting flash, as the open flash point value of the sample.
