The oxygen index tester is designed to test combustibility by oxygen concentration, letting the user know the minimum oxygen concentration necessary for combustion.
The working principle is to place the specimen into the testing chimney, filling with oxygen and nitrogen into the chimney, ignite the specimen, and then measure the minimum concentration of oxygen to support continuous combustion.
