GD-6541A  Oil and Water Surface Tension Meter by Ring Method

Principle

When pull Pt circle out of liquid sample, electromagnetic force -Balance Transducer will detect the maximum pulling force of Pt circle and the force can turn to tension value with formula as follows:
M=mg/2L   L= Pt circle's circumference
The test value will effect by many factor:
(1)Pt circle's average radius and the Pt wire's radius
(2)Liquid sample and  other medium's density contrast
(3)Liquid sample's purity
(4)ambient temperature
 

Main Technical Features

1. Adopts a large screen dot matrix LCD and unmarked buttons, it is automatic, reliable, repeatable and simple.
2. Just operate it as menu prompt, it can complete whole test.
3. The Surface Tension Meter has the functions of automatic temperature compensation, clock control, automatic storage for suddenly power off, print, and average value calculation.
4. There is a RS232 port for communication with a computer and you can transmit test data to a portable computer through this port for analysis.
5. The Surface Tension Meter is the desired instrument for determining interfacial tension between oils and water.
 

Platinum ring cleaning
Surface Tension Meter is advisable to remove the platinum ring, use the alcohol lamp to burn the part of the platinum wire that finds the water, roast red, quickly put it into the pure water, and wash the platinum ring several times. The sample cup was repeatedly cleaned and then re-measured, and the direct tension value was within 70.5-72.0.
