ASTM D1298 Density Tester of Crude and Liquid Petroleum Products
Application:
GD1884 Liquid Petroleum Density Meter/ Densitometer is designed and made as per the National Standard GB/T 18842000 "Test Methods for Density of Petroleum and Liquid Petroleum Products (Densimeter Methods)". It is suitable to determine density of liquid petroleum products using a densimeter.
Working condition:
1. Ambient temperature: -10Centigrade ~ +40Centigrade; the temperature should not change for more than ±2Centigrade;
2. Relative humidity: ≤85%;
3. The instrument should be placed on a flat workbench during operation and please try your best to reduce air convection during a test.
4. If the instrument is not used for a long time, please store it at a dry place.

precautions:
Density meter to determine the density of liquid petroleum products is based on Archimedes' principle: side timing the density meter vertically into the liquid, when the density meter sinks into the liquid, discharged part of the liquid, and subjected to top-down, equal to the weight of the liquid discharged by the action of buoyancy.
In accordance with Archimedes' law, when the weight of the liquid discharged by the petroleum density meter is equal to the weight of the density meter itself, the density meter is in equilibrium, floating in the liquid petroleum products.
1) the greater the density of liquid petroleum products and its buoyancy, the greater the floating in which the density meter upright higher.
2) the smaller the density of the liquid petroleum products and its buoyancy is smaller, the deeper the sinking, the density meter exposed to the liquid surface part is less.
When the density of petroleum products at the same time, it is sinking to a different extent, that is, with the same densitometer to determine the density of oil products, under the same conditions, the more immersed in the density of the smaller.
