General Introduction:
This Cold cranking simulator is used to measure the apparent viscosity of engine oil at low temperature (- 35 ºC ~ - 5 ºC).
Applicable standards: ASTM D5293 and GB/T 6538 Engine Oils - Determination of Apparent Viscosity - Using the Cold-cranking Simulator.
The instrument is suitable for various types of oil laboratories, testing centers, oil modulation institutions and oil manufacturers, for testing or quality control.

Precaution of CCS

In order to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the Automated Cold Cranking Simulator CCS for Engine Oil, the following maintenance measures are necessary:

Cleaning:
1.After each test, please unplug the power cord before starting to clean the instrument to prevent electric shock.
2.Remove oil stains, condensed water or other debris from the stator assembly, taking care not to sweep the impurities into the stator pool.
3.Remove oil stains and stains on the surface of the host.
4.Use a clean rubber plug or plug to close the oil inlet, or use a test syringe to prevent foreign matter from entering.
5.Pour out the waste liquid in the waste liquid collector and clean it.

Check the mechanical transmission part:
1.Turn the transmission gear by hand to check whether the rotor is rotating and whether there is a mechanical jam.
2.Check whether the upper and lower limit blocks of the rotor shaft (as
shown in Figure 5-1) are loose or displaced. If the position of the rotor is readjusted due to the movement of the limit block, it must be checked with standard oil to determine whether recalibration is required. The distance between the bottom of the rotor and the bottom of the stator is 1.6mm.
3.Check whether the fixing bolt of the transmission gear is loose, whether the position of the gear is changed, or friction with the rotor bearing.
