  • Cold Cranking Simulator Engine Oil Apparent Viscosity Tester ASTM D2602 is mainly used to test the low temperature dynamic viscosity of engine oil.
  • Automatic Cold Cranking Simulator Engine Oil Apparent Viscosity Tester is controlled by computer automatically. Automatic injection, cleaning, calculation of viscosity results. 
  • The Cold Cranking Simulator CCS is used to measure the apparent viscosity of oils at temperatures from -35°C to -5°C. The CCS is designed to simulate the oil viscosity under cold starting (cranking) conditions.
 

Principle

  • Apparent viscosity refers to the measure of a fluid's resistance to flow under applied stress or shear. It is commonly used to describe the behavior of non-Newtonian fluids, which do not exhibit a constant viscosity regardless of the applied stress.
