ASTM D1881 Foaming Tendency Analyzer

ASTM D1881 Foam Tester:
This FOAM TENDENCY ANALYSER uses glassware to determine foam tendency of engine coolants under certain temperature and ventilation.
It adopts high temperature resistant glass tank as heating bath which makes sure the uniform temperature of working environment.
This FOAM TENDENCY ANALYSER is equipped with special airflow control system, and it can reduce the error caused by manual intervention.


Foam Tester's Features:
1. The Foaming Tendency Analyzer conforms to ASTM D1881.
2. The stainless steel frame can be tested at 88ºC.
4. Cylinder can put into aluminum cover through 2 holes. Locking clip can fix jackets of cylinder and thermometer.
5. There is stirrer above the electrical heating bath.
6. Heater is stainless steel.
7. Cooling circle is stainless steel,when it's connected with cooling water source,the bath temperature can be controlled at 24ºC,and it conforms to ASTM D892 No.1.
8. Precise and adjustable flow meter is connected with needle valve,support and discharge apparatus.
9. 2 discharge apparatus has certain permeation and aperture,it is original Norton(Aluminum Ball shape) or Mott(Stainless steel cylinder shape).
10. 2 * 100mL Pyrex cylinders with scale,they have rubber stopper and air inlet and outlet pipe.
11. Micro-computure controlling,PID function,digital tempeature display(continuous display during test),accuracy 0.1ºC,Pt100 RTD temperature probe.
12. Contact control box is very convenient.

Product Structure: 
The frame is stainless steel,including Pyrex tank and cover.It can put and fix 2 cylinders with steel ring to advod floating.There are two precise flow meter,one control box with all electrical elements.
1.Magnetic Stirrer with Hot Plate (Heat Source)
2.Spherical Diffuser stone
3.Supply tubing : Aerator tube having diameter of 1 inch (25.4 mm)for gas diffuser stone. This tube is connected to the spherical diffuser stone to supply the air pressure from pump.
4.Flow meter :Rotameter assembly with flow control valve capable of maintaining the flow of 1000 ± 25 mL/min through spherical diffuser stone.
5. Digital stop watch :Digital stop watch for observing and calculating time for gas supply through flow meter and for foam breakdown.
6.Air source (Air compressor) :A clean and dry source, free from grease and other contaminants, capable of maintaining the prescribed flow rate as per ASTM D1881 requirement through the diffuser stone.
7.Rigid base support :Entire setup is mounted on metal rigid frame which is powder coated in attractive shades.
8. Thermometer:ASTM Partial Immersion Thermometer number ‐ 1C having a range from −20 to +150°C (0 to 302°F)
