Product Description

The main principle of smoke density measurement is that in a specific space, cables or materials generate smoke under specific combustion or radiation conditions. The light beam will attenuate after passing through the smoke. The transmittance of the light beam is measured and the relative optical density and smoke density are calculated.
Our smoke density chamber is designed and developed according to ISO5659. When used with a conical radiation furnace, the heat flux in the chamber can reach up to 50 kW/m2, and the sample can be positioned horizontally to test the sample mass loss rate. This also complies with the latest IMO test provisions. The smoke density generated by the sample is measured when it is vertically exposed to a radioactive heat source of 25 kW/m2 with or without a front flame in a confined space.

Features

Box structure:
1. The test box consists of a box body, a sample box, a radiation cone, an igniter, a light transmission and measurement device and other related control devices;
2. Ergonomic structural design and control design; the box adopts a full-door design; the door lock design facilitates one-time closing of the door; optimized operating procedures;
3. The test box door can be fully opened to facilitate loading and unloading of samples and cleaning of the box;
4. The front door hinge is installed, equipped with a viewing window and a movable opaque light shield that can block the viewing window to prevent light from entering the sealed box;
5. The controller is located on the side of the box for easy operation. Viewing the controller is not affected when the door is closed;
6. Safety flameout plate, easy to replace and safer to operate;
7. A gas measuring port can be provided for testing gas toxicity;
8. The coating of the test box is easy to clean and resists chemical corrosion;

Combustion device:

1. Heating cone: Power 2600W, input temperature range is 0~1000ºC, can be stabilized within ±2ºC within 50 minutes, and can provide 10KW/m²-50KW/m² irradiance.

2. The use of mass flow controllers and differential pressure sensors can improve the accuracy of the pressure gauge and achieve automatic leakage testing.

3. The igniter is equipped with an automatic ignition device; the flame length is 30mm±5mm; the flame is blue according to the standard, with a yellow tip;
 

Smoke density measurement system:

1. The smoke density and temperature are both displayed digitally, making it easier to view and the values more accurate.

2. Photoelectric detection components include photomultiplier tubes, amplification filters, shutters, filters, neutral filters, lenses, optical windows, etc.; 3. The light source is 6.5V incandescent light source;

4. An optical cassette is installed on the top of the box. The light source is a side-window photoelectric multiplier. The light transmittance accuracy can reach 0.001%.
