Standard Description:
ASTM D1160 Standard Test Method For Distillation Of Petroleum Products At Reduced Pressure .By distilling samples in a fractional distillation unit of about a theoretical tray at a specified pressure ranging from 0.13 to 6.7 kPa (1mmHg to 50mmHg), the curves of the initial and final distillation points and the percentage of recovered volume corresponding to the temperature at normal pressure can be obtained.
Working Principle:
Based on the evaporation of the liquid, heating it to boil and deriving the vapor, collecting it in different percentage volumes, different ranges of boiling point distillation ranges can be separated from the oil. The principle of the vacuum distillation range is the same as that of the atmospheric distillation range, but the distillation of heavy petroleum products is easy to produce cracking under the atmospheric pressure. Therefore, the distillation at a lower temperature must reduce the energy of molecules on the liquid surface, that is, reduce the external pressure, thus reducing the boiling point of oil products. According to the difference of oil sample, the distillation of heavy oil can be carried out under the corresponding pressure, which ensures the stability of the molecular structure of oil sample. In other words, vacuum distillation is used to prevent high temperature pyrolysis of high molecular hydrocarbons.
Main features of the instrument:
1.This friendly man-machine interface was formed by IPC with built-in 10.1 inch LCD color touch screen.
2.Vacuum degree control system:vacuum degree is controlled by the system automatically. The high vacuum and high stability of the system can be maintained during the test. The setting range of the vacuum is 2~50 mmHg. The vacuum pressure is displayed in digital, the control precision refer to point 8 Accuracy of absolute pressure control in item IIITechnical indexes and parameters .
3.There is a built-in cold trap in the instrument. It adopts semiconductor refrigeration technology. The structure of the refrigeration device is small and compact.
4.The system can automatically convert the test temperature into normal pressure temperature according to current pressure of the vacuum system. The user can be relieved from the table lookup, but also improve the accuracy of the conversion.
5.Cooling water circulation system: the system can automatically control the temperature of the cooling water at the setting temperature with the range of ±3ºC. After test, the water of the circulation system will flow back to the water tank. The tank is equipped with a liquid level observation window and overflow hole to avoid water over-adding.
6.The heating power of the distillation flask can be adjusted with the touch screen. It is displayed on the screen in a scroll bar mode. It can be adjusted at any time and with the precision of 0.5%.
7.Electric lifting platform control system, user can control the lifting platform up, down and stop by pushing the button on the screen. The built-in function of up and low limit ensures the safety of the glass instrument.
8.The built-in condensate automatic take-back system works as below. The cold trap collects the oil vapor during the test. After test, with the temperature of the cold trap increasing , the oil vapor will be liquefied and automatically flow back into the take-back bottle for the user to take out and measure.
9.The flask and measuring cylinder are equipped with special lights for easily observation and data reading.
10.The system is equipped with the nitrogen port. It can further insure the safety of all the system.
