Applications

It is suitable to determine Kinematic viscosity, viscosity number, and limiting viscosity number of oils and polymer in dilute solution. It has been widely used in the field of pharmaceutics, petroleum, chemistry, scientific research, and metrology.

Main Technical Features

1. The instrument takes the microcomputer as the central controlling parts. It has menu prompt for operation, so it is friendly.
2. The whole procedures are intelligently controlled by the instrument. It can automatically complete the whole measurement procedures, including bath temperature controlling, time measurement, viscosity calculation, viscometer tube washing and drying, and test data printing.
3. The instrument has the abilities in problem diagnosis, error output, and problem solving, so it is convenient for users to analyze and judge the working state of the instrument and solve the problem rapidly.

Note: The instrument is equipped with four sets of photoelectric Ubbelohde viscometer tube assemblies in standard packing list. The inner diameters for each is 0.8mm,1.0mm,1.2mm and 1.5mm. If the user need other kinds of viscometer, pls inform us for customizing.

Main Structure

(1) Constant temperature bath: it is recommended to take transformer oil as the heating medium. Please do not fill too much transformer oil in the bath. The liquid surface should be 20 mm lower than the rim of the bath.
(2) Photo-electric viscometer assembly: total two sets; the left is unit A and the right is unit B. Please refer to the introduction in "3. Photo-electricity viscometer assembly (II) working principle" described in this section for detail.
(3) Signal cable socket: The socket is for communication cable between the photo-electricity signal detection device of capillary viscometer and the controlling circuit.
(4) Pipes: pipes between three joints of capillary viscometer and joints on the main unit. Please connect them as per the diagram.
(5) Vacuum pressure adjustment valve: It is used to adjust vacuum pressure of washing pump. Please adjust the pressure to a proper value during measurement procedures.
(6) LCD screen: please refer to the introduction in "4. LCD screen (I) Main unit" described in this section for detail.
(7) Printer: It is used to print out test data.
(8) Heat switch: The controlling switch of heater in the bath. Turn on the switch and the heater starts working.
(9) Power switch: Turn on the switch, and then the instrument gets power.
