The rotary bottle abrasion tester is a testing instrument used to evaluate the wear resistance of materials. It mainly determines the wear resistance of materials by simulating their wear under dynamic environments such as rotation and friction. Widely used in various material fields such as plastics, rubber, coatings, leather, etc., it is used to study the wear resistance of materials, providing important reference data for product quality control, new material research and development, and product performance evaluation. For example, in the development of shoe sole materials, a rotary bottle abrasion tester can be used to test the wear resistance of rubber shoe soles with different formulations, in order to select the most durable material for production.

Principle

The working principle of the rotary bottle abrasion tester is to install the material sample to be tested on the inner wall or other designated position of the rotary bottle (or rotary cylinder). Some abrasives such as sand particles, steel balls, etc. may be placed inside the rotating bottle to increase the friction effect. After the instrument is started, the rotating bottle rotates according to the set speed and time, causing relative motion and friction between the sample and the abrasive. During this process, the surface of the material will gradually wear down. By measuring the mass loss, thickness change, or other related physical quantities before and after material wear, the degree of material wear can be quantified, and the wear resistance of the material can be evaluated.

Scope of application:
This equipment adopts single-phase asynchronous motor, reducer and chain drive to drive the rotating bottle to rotate around the axis, and the test piece moves between the rotating bottle and the water.
It is suitable for determining the compatibility between specific graded aggregates and modified emulsified asphalt. The product complies with JTG E20---2011 "Test Regulations for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixtures in Highway Engineering" T0758--2011 Slurry Mixture Compatibility Grade test.
Standard:
It accords with the relative requirements of ISO, ASTM, JIN, GB and many other testing methods. EN10002-1, ISO 6892, ASTM E8, ASTM C39, ASTM F606, SAE J429, CE Compliant.
