The micro carbon tester for petroleum products is designed and manufactured according to the requirements specified in the national standard of the people's Republic of China GB/T 17144-1997 (2004) determination of carbon residue in petroleum products (Micro Method), which is used for the micro determination of carbon residue in petroleum products.
ASTM D4530 covers the determination of the amount of carbon residue formed after evaporation and pyrolysis of petroleum materials under certain conditions and is intended to provide some indication of the relative coke forming tendency of such materials.

The correlation between residual carbon (micro method) and residual carbon (Conrad method) has been obtained, as shown in the figure below:
In terms of the precision of the two test methods, there is no difference between micro method and Conrad method. Statistically, the test results of residual carbon method (micro method) are equivalent to residual carbon method (Conrad method) in the range of 0.10% (M / M) ~ 25.0% (M / M), and the precision of residual carbon method (micro method) is better.
