Engine Coolant / Antifreeze Corrosion
Test Apparatus



The main purpose is to simulate the actual working environment of the engine cooling system to test the corrosiveness of coolant or antifreeze. Place coolant or antifreeze samples in a testing container, which contains various metal test pieces representing common metal materials in the engine cooling system, such as copper, aluminum, cast iron, etc. By using a heating device to bring the coolant to the normal temperature range during engine operation, and injecting air into the coolant using an air pump, simulate the situation where the coolant comes into contact with air during circulation inside the engine. In such an environment, the coolant interacts with the metal specimen, and after a certain period of time, the degree of corrosion of the metal specimen is observed to determine the corrosiveness of the coolant.

The main principle of the instrument is to process the six typical metals used in the engine cooling system into test pieces, then connect them into test piece bundle after weighing, and then completely immerse them in the specified sample.Take out the test piece at the end of the test, weigh again after being cleaned, the corrosion was evaluated by the mass change value before and after the test piece after the calibration.  

The Engine Coolant Corrosion Test Apparatus is suitable for high boiling point and ground non-engine coolants and concentrates, as well as for engine cooling system rust inhibitors.  The instrument is mainly applied to the engine coolant manufacturer and related inspection department.
