The 3 Metre Cube Cable Smoke Density Apparatust Chamber is conformance to BS6387 IEC 60331 and several standards;The main principle of smoke density measurement is that in a specific space, cables or materials generate smoke under specific combustion or radiation conditions. The light beam will attenuate after passing through the smoke, measure the light transmittance of the light beam, and calculate the relative light density and smoke density. The wire and cable smoke density tester complies with GB/T17651.1~2-1998 and IEC61034-1~2:1997 "Determination of smoke density of cables and optical cables burning under specific conditions". It is a test device used to measure the transmittance of smoke released when all insulated metal conductor cables or optical cables used to transmit electrical energy or signals are burned horizontally under specific conditions. (IEC61034 requires the smoke box size to be 3m).

Structural features
1. The box is composed of a cubic shell with a length, width and height of 3000mm±30mm. The internal material of the box is SUS 304 stainless steel, filled with calcium silicate fireproof material, and the external material is iron material, sprayed plastic;
2. All internal tooling is made of stainless steel; beautiful and corrosion-resistant;
3. The total area of the vent is 50cm2±10cm2, which is always open during the test; the height of the baffle is 1000mm;
4. Equipped with wire and cable test racks and hanging weights according to standard requirements.
5. The door of the test box has its own glass observation window on the opposite sides, and sealed transparent windows (minimum 100mmx100mm) are installed to transmit the light of the horizontal optical measurement system. 2150mm±100mm above the ground;
