Introduction
 

1. The limiting oxygen index refers to the volume fraction concentration of oxygen in a mixed gas of oxygen and nitrogen when the polymer can just support its combustion, and it is an index that characterizes the combustion behavior of materials. The oxygen index value of a polymer is the minimum volume percentage of oxygen in a mixed gas of oxygen and nitrogen required to keep burning 50 mm or burning time 3 minutes after the substance is ignited. The limiting oxygen index refers to the minimum oxygen concentration required for a material to burn flamingly in an oxygen-nitrogen mixed flow under specified conditions, expressed in terms of the volume percentage of oxygen.
