Introduction: The test method of the Oxidation Stability Tester is: loading the filtered quantitative sample into an oxidation tube, introducing oxygen at a rate of 50 ml/min, oxidizing at a certain temperature for 16 hours, and then cooling the oxidized sample to room temperature, filtering, the insoluble matter can be filtered out. The adhesive insoluble matter is washed from the oxidation tube wall and the same tube wall with a triple agent, and the triple component is evaporated to obtain an adhesive insoluble matter. The sum of the amount of insoluble matter and the amount of the adhesive insoluble matter which can be filtered out is the amount of total insoluble matter expressed by mg/100 ml. This instrument is not suitable for fuel oils containing residual oils and synthetic fuel oils whose main components are non-petroleum components.
