The working principle

Kinematic viscosity testing instrument ASTM D445 is suitable to determine kinematic viscosity of liquid petroleum products (Newtonian liquids) by measuring the time for a volume of liquid to flow under gravity through a calibrated glass capillary viscometer at a constant temperature.

Attentions

1. Turn on the power supply switch, and then the heater and stirrer will start working at the same time. There is no independent switch for stirring.
2. You can adjust the verticality of the viscometer using three bolts on the clamps.
3. When you install the thermometer, please make sure the thermometer bulb and the center of the viscometer are at the same level.
4. There are two fuses of 10 A installed in the power supply socket. One is taken as the spare part.
Note: If the bath is filled with water, please exhaust the water in the bath when the ambient temperature is lower than 0 ºC to avoid any damage to the instrument caused by freezing.
