Device Qualities
 
  1. The calibration device can calibrate the capacitance measurement function of the capacitance current tester. The capacitance is highly accurate, the quantity value is continuously adjustable, the adjustment fineness is small and the range is large.
  2. The device is equipped with four kinds of voltage proportional three-phase high precision voltage transformer, with capacitor can simulate the zero sequence circuit similar to the field situation. Calibration device voltage transformer and capacitor are convenient for traceability.
  3. The calibration device is divided into two major parts: upper computer and lower computer, and the two parts communicate through RS-232 serial port. The upper computer provides users with a friendly control interface in the form of PC human-machine interaction, which is used to select the content, mode and parameters of calibration; the lower computer is the specific part that responds to various command parameters of the upper computer and implements calibration work. Stable performance, hardware and software design ideas are novel and targeted. The operation interface is friendly.
 
Device Description

The neutral grounding methods in power distribution systems are mainly ungrounded or grounded through arc suppression coils. As the power consumption increases, the capacitance current in the distribution system also increases, leading to an increase in the capacity and quantity of arc suppression coils. To correctly configure the capacity of arc suppression coils and verify the arc suppression coil controllers, it is necessary to accurately measure the ground capacitance current in the ungrounded neutral point system of the distribution network.
Currently, only a few organizations carry out calibration work on capacitance current testers. The calibration method commonly used is the physical capacitor method. Its main principle is to calibrate the capacitance values of several physical capacitors and the turns ratio of several single-phase voltage transformers using measuring instruments. Then, these calibrated physical capacitors and voltage transformers are used to calibrate the tested capacitance current testers. However, the physical capacitor method has some limitations. The capacitance current testers have a wide range of measurement values, from a few microfarads to several hundred microfarads, while ordinary standard capacitors have a single capacity, making it difficult to comprehensively calibrate the entire range of capacitance current testers. Additionally, using single-phase voltage transformers instead of three-phase voltage transformers in the distribution network for calibration does not accurately represent the actual operating conditions of the tested instruments, leading to uncertainties in the calibration results.

To address the working characteristics of capacitance current testers and the limitations of existing calibration methods, our company has designed and developed the DRDL-1 Capacitance Current Tester Calibration Device. This device is specifically designed to effectively calibrate and test capacitance current testers based on the "asynchronous frequency signal injection method," which is commonly used in the market. The DRDL-1 device enables accurate calibration and testing of capacitance current testers, overcoming the limitations of existing methods.
