Introduction of ASTM D3241 Thermal Oxidation Stability Apparatus

1. The JFTOT Jet Fuel Thermal Oxidation Stability Tester is designed according to the requirements of ASTM-D3241 and GB/T9169 methods, and adopts a number of advanced technologies to realize the automation of the instrument testing process. The touch-operated industrial computer can monitor the working state and working interface of the instrument at any time; It has self-diagnostic fault alarm protection system; computer running program designed according to ASTM-D3241 method ensures the correct and complete test process; the instrument has the function of historical data storage and test report printing ; the instrument also has the function of custom setting system parameters. It fully meet the needs of special tests for production and scientific research.

2. The JFTOT Jet Fuel Thermal Oxidation Stability Tester also has the advantages of small size, light weight, less sample usage, short test period and high analytical precision. The test method was to pass a 600 ml sample through a heated test tube at a flow rate of 3 ML / min at 200-370 ° C and return it to the upper portion of the cylinder through a test filter. The filter is a porous precision oil filter that captures products from fuel degradation during testing. The degree of metamorphic deposition is represented by the magnitude of the differential pressure before and after the filter, and the magnitude of the differential pressure and the color deposited on the surface of the test tube are used as criteria for evaluating the dynamic thermal oxidative stability.

Q3: Why does thermal stability increase?
The thermal stability increases as you go down Group 2. This is because the Group 2 ion has lower charge density, and thus distorts the carbonate ion less. The less distorted the carbonate ion is, the more stable it is, and so a higher temperature is required to decompose the carbonate.
