The reasons for the formation of lubricating oil foam
1. The gas in the lubricating oil: the gas in the lubricating oil is easy to dissolve, and the gas will precipitate and form bubbles in the hydraulic system due to pressure changes and other factors, thus forming the foam;
2. Mechanical vibration: the machine will produce vibration during operation, and the lubricating oil is easy to produce bubbles and form bubbles under the action of mechanical vibration;
3. High temperature: in a high temperature environment, the oil is easy to oxidize, resulting in oxides, but also decompose some polymer organic compounds, produce volatile gases, these gases are easy to separate out, forming foam;
4. Impurities: impurities and moisture in lubricating oil are easy to form bubbles, which become the formation factor of foam.
The method of reducing the foam of lubricating oil
1. Reduce the gas content: the lubricating oil that can discharge the bubbles will reduce the possibility of foam generation, therefore, the gas content of the lubricating oil can be reduced to reduce the production of foam;
2. Impurity removal: through strict impurity filtration, water degassing and other methods, impurities in lubricating oil can be reduced to reduce the generation of foam;
3. Control temperature: control the temperature of the lubrication system can reduce the production of oxidation products in the lubricating oil, thereby reducing the generation of foam;
4. Use anti-foam agent: Adding anti-foam agent to lubricating oil can also effectively inhibit the production of lubricating oil foam.
