Current Transformer Analyzer CT PT Testing Equipment
Introduction
CT volt-ampere characteristic comprehensive tester is a special instrument used to test and verify the performance of current transformers and voltage transformers in power systems. It has a DSP data acquisition system that can complete the data acquisition of variable frequency power supply control and test process. All data analysis, storage and interface display are completed by the industrial computer system.
Features
For Current Transformers:
1. The excitation characteristic curve and parameter values need to be determined through testing.
2. The ratio of the number of turns in the primary and secondary windings must be measured.
3. Any ratio error or phase displacement error should be checked through tests.
4. The polarity markings should be verified against the design.
5. The resistance of the windings must be measured through testing.
6. The loading characteristics of the secondary loop need to be determined.
7. An error curve test is required for protection current transformers.
8. The transient performance parameters should be measured through tests.
9. An attempt should be made to deduce the nameplate specification through observation.
10. The saturation hysteresis loop curve needs to be plotted through measurements.
For Potential Transformers:
1. The turns ratio needs to be measured through testing.
2. Testing is required to check for any ratio error or phase displacement error.
3. A test must be conducted to ensure the polarity markings are correct.
4. Testing is needed to determine the loading characteristics of the secondary winding.
5. The resistance of the windings should be measured through tests.
