Asphalt Mixtures Theoretical Maximum Specific Gravity Tester for Asphalt Paving Mixtures
The Theoretical Maximum Specific Gravity Tester is designed and made as per T 0711-2011 and ASTM D2041 Standard Test Method for Theoretical Maximum Specific Gravity of Bituminous Mixtures(Vacuum process) in JTG E20-2011.
The instrument is suitable to determine the theoretical maximum specific gravity of bituminous mixtures by vacuum process. It is used to design the ratio of bituminous mixtures, survey the road condition or calculate the void ratio and compactness of road construction.
Theoretical Maximum Specific Gravity Tester is not available to determine the lacunose bituminous mixtures which water absorption overs 3%.
The theoretical maximum specific gravity testing machine for asphalt mixtures is a professional instrument used to determine the theoretical maximum relative density of asphalt mixtures. In the field of road engineering, the theoretical maximum relative density of asphalt mixture is a key parameter, which is crucial for calculating volume indicators such as void ratio and mineral aggregate void ratio of asphalt mixture. These indicators directly affect the performance of asphalt pavement, such as durability, impermeability, and bearing capacity. By accurately measuring the theoretical maximum relative density, the mix design of asphalt mixture can be optimized, and it plays an important supporting role in the quality control and performance evaluation of asphalt pavement.
Mainly based on the principle of vacuum method. Treating the mineral aggregate and asphalt of asphalt mixture as a whole, under vacuum conditions, the air in the mixture is expelled as much as possible, and then the voids are filled with a liquid of known density (such as trichloroethylene or other suitable solvents). According to Archimedes' principle, the theoretical maximum relative density of asphalt mixture is calculated by measuring the mass of the mixture in air, the mass in liquid, and the density of the liquid.
1. The Theoretical Maximum Specific Gravity Tester adopts single chip machine technology to vacuumize, shake, fill air and relieve pressure automatically.
2. Equipped with a high-accuracy absolute pressure sensor, the negative pressure can reach 3.7 kPa±0.3 kPa.
3. The working status of the vacuum pump can be reflected by a vacuum meter.
4. It equips a water buffer device to prevent the water in the negative pressure container from flowing into the vacuum pump.
5. It can determine two samples at the same time.Test efficiency is high.The structure is reasonably designed. It is easy to use.
