GD-2806G Softening Point Tester is designed and made as per GB/T4507 Standard Test Method for Softening Point of Petroleum Asphalt of national standard of People's Republic of China , T0608 Asphalt Softening Point Test (Ring-and-Ball Apparatus) in the Industrial Standard of People's Republic of China JTJ052 Specification and Test Methods of Bitumen and Bituminous Mixture for Highway Engineering and ASTM D36 Standard Test Method for Softening of Bitumen (Ring-and-Ball Apparatus). It is suitable to determine softening point of petroleum asphalt, coal pitch, liquid petroleum asphalt, and various asphalts. It can be widely used for asphalt manufacturing companies, highway and bridge construction companies, relative colleges and universities, and scientific research institutes.
Features:
1. GD-2806G Softening Point Tester adopts 32-bit ARM processor, color touch LCD screen, laser detection and other advanced technologies. It has the characteristics of homogeneous medium temperature, stable medium heating rate, automatic detection of softening point, excellent repeatability and reproducibility of test results.
2. The detection algorithm is advanced, and the influence of air bubbles generated in the heating process of filter media on the test results can be achieved.
3. It can do two samples at the same time.

Procedure for Softening Point test
1. Put the two rings of asphalt on the glass and coat them with glycerol. Pour the boiled asphalt into the ring and let cool.
2. Put the ring on the support plate, put the ball on the ring cover, put the ball in the ball cover, pour 5ºC distilled water into the beaker (about 750ml), then put the ring frame in the beaker and screw the ring frame.
3. Press the start button to start the test and begin to show the test time, and the temperature display window shows the real temperature in the beaker. When one of the steel balls on the ring frame falls, the experiment continues. When the two steel balls all fall, the experiment ends.
4. When the time display window shows "00", the temperature display window shows the average temperature of the two steel balls when they fall to 25.4mm. Press the "result" button to display the temperature of the first and second steel balls when they fall to 25.4mm.
5. Press the "start" button directly for the next test. Or press the "reset" button to return the instrument to its original state.
