ASTM D88 Saybolt Viscosity:
Viscosity is a measure of a fluid's resistance to flow (see ASTM D445).  This method measures kinematic viscosity using a Saybolt Universal Viscometer or a Saybolt Furol Viscometer. 
A Saybolt Viscometer is a wide metallic cylindrical container with a standard orifice in the bottom.  The sample is placed in the viscometer and brought to the test temperature.  The orifice is opened and the time it takes for the sample to exit is determined and reported as Saybolt Universal Seconds.  For more viscous samples, a Saybolt Furol Viscometer is used and the viscosity is reported in Saybolt Furol Seconds.Automatic ASTM D88 Saybolt Furol Viscosity Bath by Saybolt Viscometer Method

Product Description

Main structure and characteristics:
1. The  instrument  is composed  of water  bath  trough, water  bath  temperature  controller and  measured  parameter  display  and  calculation  device  (calibration  coefficient, test duration and viscosity, etc), etc.  
2. Adopts microprocessor controlling  technology  and  with double  channels detection function, the  instrument  can make parallel  tests for two samples, digitally  indicate  the  measured  parameters and  calculate  the  average value  of measured  parameters automatically.
3. The  instrument  can  also  convert  the  measured  Saybolt viscosity  to  Engler viscosity  or Kinematic  viscosity, so you  can  get  three types of  viscosity data from a test. It is high efficient and reliable.
4. GD-0623 Automatic ASTM D88 Bitumen Saybolt Viscosity Tester is suitable to determine the Saybolt viscosity of bitumen and bituminous mixtures under a constant temperature as per T0623.
