The typical application of the HIPOT tester is as follow:

1. AC high voltage withstand test is performed on power transformers.
2. Circuit breakers undergo AC high voltage withstand testing.
3. High voltage motors are subjected to high voltage withstand testing.
4. Voltage/current transformers undergo high voltage withstand testing.
5. A high voltage power source is used to calibrate high voltage meters.
