Product Description

Significance and Use:
1. This test method is useful in characterizing the consistency of tar and tar distillates by measuring their flow properties. It is applicable to materials that are readily liquid at temperatures up to 100°C.

2. It does not determine absolute viscosity, but is an empirical flow test. Only by conforming strictly to requirements of the test method are reproducible results obtained.  

3. Viscosity corresponds to the resistance of a liquid to flowing, so it's a parameter strictly related to binder consistency and workability. Binder viscosity is heavily affected by temperature, and is measured using different methods such as measuring the time needed to pass through a capillary (kinematic and dynamic viscosity), an orifice (Standard TAR, Engler and Saybolt viscosity) or the force needed to rotate two coaxial cylinders (Rotational viscometer).

Main Technical Features

1.The instrument adopts desktop, all-in-one and double inner crucible structure. Both of inner and outer crucible adopt stainless materials.Inner crucible has been specially processed.The smooth finish corresponds with the test requirements.

4. The instrument adopts the semiconductor refrigeration piece,which meets the standard test requirements.

Main Structure

This instrument can test 2 samples in the same temperature environment at the same time, and generate the average time, including two inner containers for holding samples, a constant temperature bath with motor stirring, a hardwood plug to plug the outflow pipe and receiving bottle with a temperature control device.
