Brief Introduction:
Dropping point determinations are used for identification and quality control purposes, and can be an indication of the highest temperature of utility for some applications.It is applicable to the automatic determination of lubricating grease dropping point when its first drop reaches the bottom of the test tube.
Test method:
The sample is heated at a prescribed rate in a precision machined cup whose sides slope toward an opening at its center. The temperature at which a liquid drop first falls from the cup is the dropping point of the sample.(The Automatic Dropping Point Tester comes with high efficiency which can test 2 samples one time.)
Test standard
1. The High Temperature Dropping Point Apparatus is designed and made according to the requirements of the People's Republic of China Standard GB/T 3498 Petroleum products--Determination of dropping point of lubricating greases(wide temperature range).
2. The Automatic Dropping Point Tester is also in accordance with ASTM D2265 Standard Test Method for Dropping Point of Lubricating Grease Over Wide Temperature Range.
