The introduction of BS EN 13823 tester:

SBI test namely monomer combustion test is the European Union announced a new method to evaluate material combustion characteristic and implementation of the standard, the standard with the corner fire test and cone calorimeter meter of the same principle, test scale between the two, the SBI test by measuring the test during the change of oxygen concentration, and the flue gas flow in pipeline, CO2 concentration and other indicators, at a certain moment is obtained by calculation of heat release rate, and then measure the test in the process of heat release rate and time of the maximum value, namely the FIGRA of heat release rate index, the index for the flame retardant performance of building materials.

The whole test equipment includes combustion laboratory, control room, trolley, smoke exhaust pipe, data collection and analysis device, gas supply control device.The test was carried out in a 2.4m high combustion chamber with an area of 3m X 3m. At the top of the chamber, there was an air collecting cover and smoke exhaust pipe connected with the sampling pipe. Under the cart, there was a space for air to enter and exit naturally.During the test, the heat released from the combustion of the sample and the combustion products should be discharged from the smoke exhaust pipe.An integrated sampling area is arranged in the smoke exhaust pipe for placing sensors and sampling pipes.Gas temperature, combustion release compound concentration, oxygen concentration, light attenuation of flue gas, total flow of air and combustion products are measured in the sampling pipe.
