Digital Display Asphalt Penetration Tester Automatic Penetrometer for Bitumen

This Asphalt Penetration Tester consists of a lifting mechanism for adjusting needle alignment, an electromagnetic release mechanism, a light source amplification device, and a LCD display table.

Components for the Penetration Test
1.Water bath: it contains at least 10 liters of water at a temperature of 25 °C. The sample is immersed in a depth with more than 100 mm from the top. Moreover, the supported perforated shelf, which is the sample placed on it, should be above 50mm from the bottom of the bath.
2.Sample container: a small cylindrical dish with a flat bottom which its material is metal or glass. 
3.Transfer dish or Tray: It helps in keeping the container immersed in the water bath.
4.Penetration needle: stainless steel needle which is cylindrical and high polished
5.Stopwatch: an automatic timer with an accuracy of 1/10 seconds.
6.Thermometer: it shows the temperature in the range of 0-44 °C.
7.Penetrometer: the device contains a needle. It is used to release and lock the needle in any position and allows measuring the penetration by applying a load of 100 grams with the least friction. It is important to calibrate accurately.

Performance Characteristics
1.The instrument is equipped with a hand wheel, which can be used for coarse or fine adjustment when aligning the needle, and is equipped with a light source for magnifying observation.
2.The falling time of the needle can be switched by the time relay and controlled by the electromagnetic release mechanism.
3.During operation, just press the "needle insertion" button to complete the needle insertion procedure. Convenient and fast.
