This Wax Content Tester is composed of a low temperature bath, a built-in vacuum pump, a freezer support frame, a refrigeration system, a suction filter device and an electrical control part. The analytical test of three samples can be carried out simultaneously.

Procedures of Asphalt Wax Content Tester
1. Pour industrial alcohol into the cold bathtub, and make the liquid level about 30mm higher than the upper cover. Turn on the power switch of the asphalt wax content analyzer, and set the required temperature on the digital display temperature controller.
2. Put 50g of the sample into the pyrolysis distillation flask, accurate to 0.1g, cover it tightly with a cork, use a conical flask as a receiver, and immerse it in a beaker filled with crushed ice.
3. Put the cooling filter device into a cold bathtub at -20±0.5°C and cool for 1 hour.
4. Start the pumping device.
5. Take out the sample cooling and filtering device from the cold bath of the asphalt wax content tester, take off the suction bottle, rinse it clean, clean the sample cooling cylinder and the plug with 30ml of preheated petroleum ether, and pull out the plug. The solution flows to the filter funnel. After there is no solution in the funnel, dissolve the wax in the funnel with hot petroleum ether twice, each time with an amount of 35ml, and then suction immediately until no liquid drops drop.
6. Pour the wax solution in the suction bottle into an Erlenmeyer flask of known quality, and wash the suction bottle three times with normal temperature petroleum ether, each time using 10-15ml. The wash solution is poured into the wax solution in the Erlenmeyer flask. Distill the conical flask containing the wax solution on a suitable heat source, remove the petroleum ether, and then dry it in vacuum for 1 hour, the residual pressure is 21-35Kpa, then put the wax back into the desiccator to cool for 1 hour, accurate to 0.1mg .
